Metrology is a branch of scientific measurement study to establish the standard (common understanding). It includes the establishment of units,  methods, realisation of standard and transfer of traceability to field. In industry, producing good measurements is important as it has great impact on the quality and value of the end product. To achieve accurate result, the emphasis is not only on the measurement technique itself but also the traceability of the device calibration to ensure confidence in result. Industrial metrology is crucial to propel country's economic and industrial development.
